For project management and development assignments, we base our consulting fee on the complexity of the task, the level of responsibility undertaken and the time frame of the assignment. Complex assignments may be completed in stages with agreed reporting and invoicing milestones. Where the scope of work can be adequately defined, we may be able to offer work on a time and materials basis with a capped fee or fixed fee.
For services provided under our Virtual IT Department, we have established Client Rates and Casual Rates, detailed below.

Tier 1 is our basic service rate. However, as part of our mission to put professional IT expertise within reach of smaller companies, we've introduced an even lower rate - Tier 2.
Tier 2 is our rate for routine services. We define 'routine' services as day-to-day network, hardware and software tasks, for example, installing a computer, upgrading software, or solving an Internet connectivity issue.
Tier 1 services include more specialised activities, such as conducting an IT infrastructure review or developing an IT Strategic Plan. In other words, activities that require research, analysis and/or recommendation.
Having a lower rate for routine services means you won't pay any more than is necessary for IT support. Our objective is to ensure businesses of all sizes can afford to maintain their critical IT systems at peak performance. With reasonable after-hours rates, we're available to you seven days a week and for after-hours emergencies.
Where possible we carry out network and PC support by remote VPN into the client network. We are then able to satisfy many network and computer management tasks without travelling to your premises, eliminating the onsite service fee.
To be eligible for Client Rates, you need a current IT Support Agreement with Graphics Technologies. Don't be alarmed! This Agreement does not lock you into a long-term commitment and there are no pre-paid blocks of time. It simply establishes agreed terms of business and you can end it at any time without penalty.
